At the Ocean Literacy World Conference in Venice, hosted by IOC-UNESCO and partners, ProBleu collaborated with global experts to finalize the “Venice Declaration for Ocean Literacy in Action.”
On the occasion of World Ocean Day on June 8, ProBleu and SHORE reaffirm their commitment to enhancing ocean and water literacy across Europe and expanding the Network of European Blue Schools, promoting sustainable ocean and freshwater policies.
In the South-West UK, teachers are enhancing their curricula with Ocean Literacy, thanks to training sessions by the Ocean Conservation Trust and partners. These workshops, part of the ProBleu project, are designed to intertwine environmental stewardship with education. Funded by the Edina Trust, the initiative offers engaging activities like the Energy Investigators workshop, empowering educators and students to positively impact ocean conservation and embrace sustainable practices for a healthier future.

At ECSA 2024, ProBleu leveraged talks and workshops to network broadly, exchanging insights with school networks from across Europe, and to promote citizen science in water literacy domain.
