We’ve chosen 35 projects from 12 countries that will advance water literacy in European schools, tackling marine and freshwater conservation, plastic pollution, and biodiversity through innovative methods.

In Barcelona, educators gathered for a ProBleu training session on Blue Schools and ocean literacy, led by ICM-CSIC experts. They explored practical tools like MINKA and discussed local projects, fostering water literacy among students across Catalonia.

At the Ocean Literacy World Conference in Venice, hosted by IOC-UNESCO and partners, ProBleu collaborated with global experts to finalize the “Venice Declaration for Ocean Literacy in Action.”

On the occasion of World Ocean Day on June 8, ProBleu and SHORE reaffirm their commitment to enhancing ocean and water literacy across Europe and expanding the Network of European Blue Schools, promoting sustainable ocean and freshwater policies.
