BlueGuard Kids: Involving Young Learners in Monitoring Thau Lagoon Biodiversity and Water Quality
Sete, France
1st FUNDING CALL
The Thau Lagoon is rich in remarkable biodiversity and diverse maritime activities. Preserving it requires a better understanding of its wealth and involving younger generations in environmental protection. The BlueGuard Kids project aims to address these objectives by placing young students at the centre of managing a site along the lagoon.
Over the course of an academic year, students will have the opportunity to explore the lagoon’s specificities, study the present marine ecosystems, understand the pressures, and establish governance in collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders to define a program of actions for the preservation of this natural space.
