For the second year in a row, ProBleu returned to the Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM) to bring together educators, outreach organisations, environmental education teams, and scientific research groups in a shared mission: to make education bluer.
This year’s Teaching Day featured:
A co-design session where teachers and developers worked side-by-side to adapt MINKA’s tools and user interface for classroom use, ensuring the platform meets real-world educational needs.

Collaborative presentations from our sister project BlueLightS and SHORE, plus interactive resource showcases by CEM Sitges (Diputació de Barcelona), Escoles + Sostenibles (Ajuntament de Barcelona), Plàncton Divulgació, the Catalan Sailing Federation and the ICM’s own outreach team.

Showcases of innovative school projects that integrate citizen-science through the MINKA platform, among them the Arsinoe Project, the Escola Lumen initiative and marine-monitoring efforts from Escola Voramar and Institut Pau Claris schools.

And of course, we couldn’t finish without a celebration: awarding the latest cohort of Blue Schools diplomas, recognising outstanding commitment to marine and environmental education.
ProBleu continues to strengthen this collaborative network, and we’re proud that the ICM now co-leads our “Blue Schools” community. What a wonderful way to wrap up the academic year—here’s to many more days of discovery, partnership and a truly blue education. See you next year!
