The 2026 edition of the STEM Discovery Campaign, organised by Scientix and coordinated by European Schoolnet, officially launched on the 1st February. As in previous years, the ProBleu project is proud to be featured as an official partner of the campaign, reinforcing our shared commitment to promoting ocean and water literacy through innovative educational practices.

Recognising teachers who make waves

A highlight of the STEM Discovery Campaign is the Scientix Awards, an initiative designed to celebrate outstanding educators who bring STEM to life in their classrooms. These awards recognise teachers who go above and beyond to inspire students, integrate innovative methodologies, and address real-world challenges through education.

This year, ProBleu is especially pleased to support the Scientix Learning Tides Award, a category that aligns closely with ProBleu’s mission. The award highlights educational activities that promote water and ocean literacy, sustainability, and environmental stewardship, core themes at the heart of the ProBleu project.

By supporting this award, ProBleu aims to amplify the work of teachers who are helping students understand the importance of aquatic ecosystems, environmental resilience, and responsible water use. These educators are not only teaching science, but they are also nurturing the next generation of informed and engaged citizens.

Building on a strong partnership

The collaboration between ProBleu and Scientix reflects a shared vision: empowering educators with the tools, resources, and networks they need to deliver impactful STEM education. Through initiatives like the STEM Discovery Campaign and the Scientix Awards, teachers gain visibility, recognition, and opportunities to connect with peers across Europe.

This partnership also helps bring water literacy into the broader STEM conversation, ensuring that topics such as ocean health, freshwater systems, and sustainability are integrated into classrooms in meaningful ways.

Join the movement

With the campaign already off to a strong start, there is still plenty of time to get involved. The awards are open until 30th April. Educators are encouraged to submit their activities, explore the interactive map, and apply for the Scientix Awards.

Whether you are running a classroom experiment, organising a community event, or developing new teaching resources, your work can contribute to a growing network of STEM innovation across Europe.

Together, through collaboration and recognition, we can continue to inspire curiosity, foster sustainability awareness, and support educators who are shaping the future, one lesson at a time.
