4th FUNDING CALL

Objectives

The BluEcoInVET – Promoting Smart Water Management Awareness through Blue Economy Principles in Vocational Construction Education project aims to raise awareness of smart water management among vocational education students by integrating blue economy principles into construction and STEM education. The project also seeks to strengthen digital and technological skills while fostering environmental responsibility and innovation aligned with European sustainability priorities.

Activities

Following the project kick-off meeting held in October 2024, students and teachers launched the STEMCycle G2B – Green to Blue Innovation Lab activities. During this phase, 11th-grade vocational students developed an HTML-based web application using Firebase and GitHub, creating a digital hub for sharing STEM projects related to water literacy and blue economy concepts.
The activity was implemented as a CodeWeek-connected output and further disseminated through eTwinning collaboration, ensuring wider visibility and knowledge exchange within the European educational community.

Output and Impact

The main output of the project is a fully functional web application that serves as a collaborative digital platform for STEM-based learning on smart water management and blue economy principles.
Through hands-on digital development, students enhanced their technical, analytical, and environmental awareness skills, while teachers strengthened interdisciplinary and project-based learning approaches.
The project contributes to long-term impact by promoting sustainable practices in vocational education and supporting the integration of green and blue innovation into future construction-related professions.
